While The Cat's Away...

... The mice will play, and play we certainly did!

My parents went to Tenerife last weekend and I took advantage of their 'free house' and had a dinner party for my friends.  I thought cooking for 8 was going to be a nightmare, but I was prepared and everything went very smoothly. I even made home made sorbet and chocolate truffles. Get me! Lol!

We went through 8 bottles of wine, vodka, magners and baileys, danced to the backstreet boys after dinner and played Articulate till 3am. All the signs of a successful night!

Sorry if there are too many photos, I just couldn't narrow it down any more. As I was cooking, I forgot to take a lot of pictures, so these are a mash up of mine and my friend Michelle's pictures. Enjoy!

The Table Set-Up

Place Setting - I made menus on my computer, I rolled them up and tied with a ribbon bow to make them look pretty.

My 'homemade' Menu

Stuffed Pepper Starters - Ready to go in the oven.

Bacon Wrapped Chicken - Main Course

Me at the cooker.

Everyone ready for dinner!

Grasshopper Pie - This is actually the leftovers. I served everyone a slice with an After Eight stuck in it at an angle. It looked much prettier than this bit.

My Homemade Truffles

I have no idea what's going on here, I was cooking, but I couldn't not include it. Obviously the girls are throwing their best poses about!

Rachel & Emily's Backstreets Back Dance - They remembered it from school!

Sean playing with the light. I love this picture!

Elvis enjoying the sunshine!

My 'Thank You' flowers and cards from my friends. Michelle bought me some natural lavender bathsalts which I can't wait to try.
